Meet Dilan

When I moved back to Erbil, my birthplace, after spending my whole life in France, I was determined to reconnect with my roots and serve my community and my country. At first, people didn't understand why people like me would give up our careers, in my case in law, to move to a country still in crisis. Years of discussions and a desire to serve my compatriots led me to this website.

'Make Mesopotamia Great Again' is my true belief in our shared heritage and in the ability of our country and our communities to be agents of innovation, dialogue and peace. It is both a leitmotif and a vital necessity.

On this website, you will find my opinions and suggestions on current trends within the Assyrian-Chaldean-Syriac community around the world, in Iraq in general, and in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region. My sole ambition is to make our ancestral lands a better place.
